This is a good example of using a 2-camera system for 3D profiling of parts. In this case, the 2-camera setup is used to reduce occlusions common in a 1-camera setup (i.e. the camera can "see" the laser profile from two sides of the part).
In addition, the Elevation Map produced from the scanned part is compared to a Golden Template to show defects.
